Reforestation
Haiti has been experiencing a dramatic deterioration of its environment since the early 60’s. In this context, UNDP supports the efforts of the Ministry of the Environment, whose roadmap plans for an increase in forest cover of up to 5% in five years.

Ocean- Front view in Haiti
There isn’t always garbage everywhere. This is a scene just past the carrefour area near Port-au-Prince, which is overcrowded and poor. Despite poverty, most beaches and towns are clean and Haiti uses glass bottles for most drinks (cola, etc.) rather than plastic to reduce waste.
